PRINCIPAL & CEO
Claudia Ross is the Principal and CEO of Cross Marketing, a public relations and marketing company in San Francisco with representation in New York City, Los Angeles and partners in each major market nationwide. She has served as a Marketing Instructor at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, has been invited to speak at UC Berkeley and University of San Francisco's Marketing and Business Schools for her expertise in strategic marketing, and has been featured in 2009 book Y In the Workplace and on national Blogtalk Radio. From 1997 to 2006, Ross was the Northwest Advertising Director for both Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire magazines, where she worked with a variety of fashion, beauty and non-endemic accounts providing sales and marketing partnerships to companies such as Nike and Gap Inc. In 2005, Claudia Castillo Ross founded Cross Marketing in San Francisco, dedicated to pursuing a cross between marketing and philanthropy. As Chairman of the Board for Raphael House, board member for Children of Shelters and Family Builders, and a partner for several non-profit organizations, Ross has been active in the community and served as Chair for several large-scale fundraising programs. She is committed to growing her marketing company by providing multi- platform marketing and public relations services for clients such as CHANEL, Louis Vuitton, Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic, Restoration Hardware, John Varvatos, and Goyard, as well as a variety of non-profit organizations in the Bay Area. Ross is the national "Style Expert" for Judith Ripka, and has appeared on national television shows such as the E! Red Carpet Pre-Show for the 2008 Emmy’s and the 2009 SAG Awards, and on Lifetime’s BLUSH series.
Claudia Castillo Ross has been named one of the top three PR women in San Francisco by San Francisco Magazine in its July 2006 Best of the Bay issue, and again in the March 2017 edition of the Nob Hill Gazette. She was recently featured on ABC 7's View from the Bay as a philanthropist and "Party Planner Extraordinaire" and in W Magazine's January 2010 issue as their Guest Style Guru.
Claudia Castillo Ross has lived in Europe, Latin America and most recently, in the Bay Area with her husband and two sons.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Vicky Morel joins the Cross Marketing Group as its first CFO. She comes to Cross with extensive experience in budget and finance, human resources, and public relations. Most recently she acted for 20 years as Director of Business Services and Human Resources in the Chancellor's Immediate Office at the University of California, Berkeley. She has also worked as Sales Executive and has served on the Executive Board for Darlington & Simpson Rolling Mills (DSRM), Inc., a major corporation in the steel industry based in Houston, Texas and in San Francisco. In her time at DSRM, Vicky's work took her to the far corners of the Western Hemisphere, including England, Canada, the U.S., Mexico and South America. Vicky has lived in Colombia, Houston, Texas and Northern and Southern California. She is married and has a daughter and two grandchildren. Her interests are cooking, gardening, and spending time with her two young grandsons.
Personal interaction and creating a network, enables PR opportunities, as a model, Hannah Rose has embodied a variety of different brands working with clients like Neman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Pepsi, Nespresso Café, Method Home, Woodside Hotels and Siemens Healthineers, she understands branding and connects with her client needs.
With PR agency experience she is well versed in monitoring the news for relevant trends, market research, developing pitches, event research and coordination for companies like Panasonic, Chevron, Allegra and Rolls Royce. She loves connecting people through stories that resonate. At Cross Marketing Hannah Rose works as an account executive.
Kristen Gray is a freelance writer, journalist, content marketer and executive assistant who has been working with CEO's, marketing teams, and publications for over seven years. After working for multimillion dollar firms, and startups, Kristen knows what truly gets a client noticed, turns news into a story, and how to conquer everyday projects efficiently so goals can be achieved.
Kristen has worked for finance firms such as, Francisco Partners, Golden Gate Capital and Tree Line Capital Partners. She has been published in The San Francisco Examiner, FSHN Magazine, and is a contributing writer for The Nob Hill Gazette. Her marketing experience comes from partnerships with Social PhDs, and recently Cross Marketing Public Relations.
Kristen holds a BA in magazine journalism and business from the University of Oregon.
Christina Soza brings her expertise in communications, media, and event planning to Cross Marketing PR, managing the firm’s events ranging from intimate dinners for eight VIPs to galas for 300. Having worked with Carnaval San Francisco, top radio personalities and the Communications department at Saint Mary’s College, Christina applies her tight relationships across the media landscape to Cross Marketing’s clients.
Especially passionate in event promotions & planning, volunteering and traveling, she also has a strong interest in lifestyle, fashion and philanthropy. Her a strong enthusiasm and ambition with public relations, events, and building new relationships is easy to see across her work at Cross Marketing and outside of the office.
